We are watching a genocide live on social media.

Through our smartphones, we’ve been forced to witness the unthinkable – images and stories of Palestinian children being blown to bits or having their limbs amputated without anesthesia.

At the same time, most of Gaza’s remaining families are at risk of death from factors other than bombs and bullets.

Some survivors, like 4-year-old Rayyan, now find refuge in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza City, clinging to life amidst unimaginable conditions.

The good news: A gift of just $500 is enough to support a family of six to buy essential survival supplies for one month.

  • ZWhen you donate to the Elham Fund, 100% of your donation goes directly to families in Gaza.
  • ZWe deploy your donations to Gaza using a whisper network of families, pharmacists, physicians, and aid agencies in Canada, Cairo, Rafah, and Gaza.
  • ZYour monthly gift is essential to this support cycle. Gazan families connected to the Elham Fund rely on monthly gifts to deal with the realities of living in a war zone.
  • ZWhen medications or supplies are stolen, or aid workers are murdered, monthly gifts keep the supply of cash, food, supplies, and medicine going to where it is needed most: directly to Gazan families surviving under genocide.
  • ZThis is only possible due to the late great Elham Farah's extensive connections across Gaza and the rest of the world.

MEDICINE

The Elham Fund works closely with our partner agency Gxza Health to provide free medical consultations and telemedecine to families in need.

LIVING SUPPLIES

The Elham Fund works with families to understand, source, and deliver needed supplies inaccessible through other means.

CASH TRANSFERS

Cash transfers are sent directly into Bank of Palestine accounts. Money is crucial to empowering Gazans to live with dignity under siege.

"I don’t think there’s anyone in Gaza who hadn’t met her on the street. She would always stop people, smile at them, and start talking to them. She was an icon of Gaza."

Who Was Elham Farah?

Elham Farah, fondly known as “Umm Orange,” was Gaza’s first music teacher.

From one of Gaza’s oldest Christian families, Elham’s life, spirit, and legacy touched thousands of people across the Gaza Strip.

She was murdered by an Israeli sniper in November 2023. She lay in the street for hours until she bled to death. She was just going to her home for warmer clothes.

Her death sent a ripple through the global Gazan community.

The Elham Fund was established by her remaining Canadian and Gazan family to continue the work she loved so much.

The Elham Fund is a Palestinian-led Canadian non-for-profit.

The Elham Fund supports Gazans living under genocide with funds, living supplies, and medicine.
